EVICTION PREVENTION PROGRAM, GREENBURGH CAP AND NOT JUST GOWNS PROM PROGRAM, HOLIDAY GIVING PROGRAM

A residential school providing a comprehensive program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and medically fragile children. A wide range of services; medical, nursing, educational, recreational, physical therapy, speech therapy, dietary, and social activities are coordinated to provide individualized treatment for each resident.

Assistance for families applying for OPWDD eligibility, medicaid and waiver services, MSC, waiver respite and community habilitation services, emergency respite support reimbursement, socialization and skill building groups.

Provides advocacy services to children at risk of educational failure; emphasis on educationally-handicapped children, truants, drop-outs, suspended children, children returning to school from residential placement, and families needing assistance enrolling children in new school systems in Westchester County. Youth are trained in advocacy techniques. Parents, students, professionals, and local community groups are educated on relevant issues. Networks of communication with public and private agencies working with at-risk youth are developed and expanded.

Tarrytown Community Opportunity Center, is a component of WESTCOP whose mission is to mobilize, and efficiently manage resources through partnership and collaboration that will assist the low-income and at-risk populations in the Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow and Ossining areas; thus achieving greater self-sufficiency.
